Read-only, structurally
The tools cannot mutate anything. That is not a permission setting that could be misconfigured — there are no write operations to expose.

Scoped tokens you control
Each token carries only the scopes you grant, and you can hold several and revoke any one of them without disturbing the others.

Your identity, never the model's
Every tool call is bound to your verified account on the server side. A model cannot ask for someone else's data, because there is no field in which to ask.

Conversations are opt-in
Access to your RankSage conversation history is a separate scope, off by default, and time-bounded when you do grant it.
What it does not do
- Read-only. You cannot start a crawl or change settings from your editor.
- It is only as current as your last sync — it reads the same data the dashboard shows.
- Requires a client that speaks MCP: Claude, Claude Code and Cursor today.

Yes. RankSage runs an MCP server exposing read-only tools for your visibility, gap, queue, traffic, content and competitor data, so your assistant can read it directly.
Is it safe to connect?
The tools are read-only by construction, tokens are scoped and individually revocable, and every call is bound to your verified account on the server rather than to anything the model supplies.
Can it see my RankSage chat history?
Only if you grant that scope explicitly. It is off by default and time-bounded when enabled.
