How often does AI actually name you?
You write the questions your buyers would ask. RankSage runs them on a schedule across ten answer engines and keeps what came back — the answer text, the URLs cited, and whether your brand was named at all.
The problem
Rank tracking tells you where a page sits on a results page. It says nothing about whether an answer engine mentions you when someone asks the question directly — which is increasingly where the decision happens.

How it works
What it measures, what comes out, and why the number can be trusted.
- 01
You choose the questions
Not keywords — the questions a buyer would actually type. RankSage suggests candidates drawn from the queries your site already earns impressions for, and you keep or discard each one.
- 02
Every run is stored, not just its score
The full answer text, the URLs the engine cited, and how your brand was characterised. You can read what was said rather than trust a number that summarises it.
- 03
Share of voice comes back as a range
Ask the same question twice and an engine may answer differently. A single percentage hides that. RankSage reports the range, so you can tell a real move from noise.
- 04
An unreachable engine says so
If a provider is unavailable during a run, that engine is reported as unavailable. It is never averaged in as a zero, which would quietly drag your score down for a reason that has nothing to do with your content.
What it does not do
- It measures the questions you chose. It cannot tell you what you failed to think of — though the suggestions try.
- Answer engines are non-deterministic. Any tool claiming an exact, stable citation rate is rounding away something real.
- Free plans track three of the ten engines; every paid plan tracks all ten.
Works with
Persona Visibility
The same question, asked as different buyers. See whose answers change when the asker does — and where you disappear.
Citation Integrity
Engines cite sources that are dead, or that never mention you. Every cited URL is checked — and only provable failures are called failures.

Questions
Which AI engines does RankSage track?
Ten. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and OpenAI Web Search ground their answers by searching before they write; DeepSeek, Grok, Qwen, Mistral and Meta AI answer from what the model already knows. Google AI Overviews are captured separately, from live result pages. You need presence in both kinds — a grounded engine can cite you tomorrow, a parametric one only knows what it has already learned about you.
How often are prompts re-run?
Weekly on paid plans, with a metered add-on that re-runs them daily. Free plans run on demand.
Why is share of voice shown as a range instead of one number?
Because answers vary between runs. A single percentage would look more precise than the underlying reality, and you would end up reacting to noise.
